Attendance

A student’s academic success is directly correlated to regular on-time attendance. Regular attendance is very important to maintain a consistent learning environment for all students.

It is the family’s responsibility to ensure their student attends school and to notify the school when their student is absent for a legitimate reason, such as an illness or family emergency.

If your student is going to be tardy or absent, you must report the absence or tardy by either using the Parent Absence Request Tool in Infinite Campus or by calling the attendance line.

Absences due to anything other than illness, such as travel, family events or visits or other personal reasons, are not excused.

The importance of regular, daily school attendance as a basis for academic achievement cannot be overemphasized. Attendance is a shared responsibility of the student, the families and the school.

Each family should also ensure their student’s school has their correct contact information so that the school is able to communicate about any attendance issues that may arise.
