Join PTA today!

The mission of the PTA is three-fold:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children at Mount Carbon Elementary, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
  • To encourage parent and public involvement at Mount Carbon Elementary.

During the 2016-17 school year, with your help PTA did an amazing job fundraising.

Block Grants were given to the school from the PTA fundraisers to help fund:

  • New Library Furniture
  • Future Marquee

Additionally, we were able to fund the following during 2016-17:

  • Library Technology
  • Fall Carnival
  • Lunch Wagons
  • Junior Great Books
  • PE Equipment
  • Spring Dance
  • Family Night Out
  • Staff Appreciation
  • 6th Grade Continuation
  • Wish Funds for classroom supplies
  • Mother's Day Plant Sale
  • Mt. Carbon Alumni Scholarship

Accountability (PIE) - Partners in Education

Role of PIE: To provide a cooperative means of monitoring and improving educational programs and conditions within Mount Carbon Elementary School, utilizing input from parents, teachers, staff and the community.
